For each project the Board of Directors of Fonds Belval will appoint a Director of Residency chosen by the Artistic Advisory Board among the applicants who have submitted a project as part of a call for applications specifying the theme of the residency. The Director of Residency must be a recognised figure from the worlds of art and culture (professionals from all fields are encouraged to apply). His or her project must outline a strong vision while allowing the artists to express themselves freely. The Director of Residency will be selected as part of a public call for applications and will be asked to present his or her project in a public hearing. Working in close relationship with the Artistic Advisory Board, the Director of Residency will be responsible for the overall management of the project.
